Welcome to my little corner of teaching littles. I have so much fun teaching preschool and kinder so I want to share my lesson plans and resources with you!

“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” This Fred Rogers quote really hits my heart as a mom and a teacher. Kids have years of structured academics ahead of them. Anyone who has worked with preschool kiddos knows that they are just not made to sit and learn like a fifth grader. They want to play! I have found that learning through play reaps the biggest rewards in preschoolers. That is where the name Learn Through Play Prek came from! Trust me, I am a big academic person. I want my littles to learn real things and cover all the standards they need to be kindergarten ready. That is why I fill my Learn Through Play Prek curriculum with learning games and play centers that allow preschool students to explore and discover.

I have many academic focuses, play based preschool curriculum resources. Each minilesson can easily be taught through play. Preschool kids love to play and love to sing. That is what my structured learning time is based through.

Centers allow my students to play while being exposed to the academic skills I want them to focus on that week.
