Fall Sensory Bins That Don’t Make a Mess

There is nothing better than simple sensory bins that make your centers more engaging and don’t cause you more work.

Use your unit centers and/or leveled centers through the year and just swap out simple, mess-free sensory materials for each season!

The great thing about Fall sensory bin fillers is that they can last from late September to December. That’s months of sensory bins without having to change for the season. Halloween themed sensory items are quite as long lasting, but you can get the whole month of October using them.

Pumpkins!

Fill a tub with pumpkins and hide activity cards in the pumpkins for students to find and match/trace/write…

Roll a dice and use the pumpkins to fill big ten frames or number lines.

Grab my favorite pumpkin set for easy, simple, versatile centers that don’t make a mess!

Leaves!

Faux fall leaves make the perfect sensory bin filler. It’s always a kid favorite.

Grab my favorite faux fall leaves and set up your sensory bin in less than a minute! The Faux Fall Leaves can also be used for counting. One activity my class loves is when I toss leaves into the air and say a number for them to collect. They will want to collect as many as the can, but it’s a good lesson for learning when to stop at the correct number.

You can also use a Fall Leaf Garland to make it less tempting to toss leaves in the air.

Fall Tinsel Garland

Tinsel garland is my number one go-to sensory bin filler. It’s flashy, it’s all on piece, and it usually has some fun shapes added in.

You will love how much students enjoy a center with this Fall Tinsel Garland as the filler!

Here is another version of the Fall Tinsel Garland but with lights.
